Job purpose

This Product Engineering role is primarily focused on the pursuit of new business opportunities.  The job requires interfacing with new and existing customers to understand their requirements for future applications. We next work closely with an internal, cross-functional team including Advanced Development Engineering, Sales, GSM, and Operations to define optimal solutions for achieving customer goals.  The customer targets must also be balanced against our internal objectives of maximizing value to PHINIA.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the product design options capable of achieving customer technical requirements

• Optimize design concepts in conjunction with other functional pursuit team members.

• Prepare conformance statements for new projects and escalate risks as necessary.

• Lead the investigation for the design and analysis of new engineering projects.

• Serve as primary point of contact to the customer’s Engineering team
