Primary Objective:
Responsible for conducting scheduled servicing of all facility HVAC systems including exhaust and supply fans, air cooled chillers, and thermal oil boilers.
Major Function and Scope:

Respond to HVAC-related breakdowns.

Monitor and adjust the building automation systems.
-
Develop and implement cost saving improvements to plant HVAC systems.

Collaborate with other departments and vendors to update, design, and install systems as necessary and during expansion projects.

Operation of boom and scissor lifts.
-
Operation of forklifts.
-
Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
-
Follow all established standard operating procedures

Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary

Perform other tasks assigned by management
Types of Experience and Knowledge:
-
Relevant licenses and certifications
-
Valid Driver's License
-
5+ years experience in HVAC service and installation
-
Heavy industrial machine operation experience, scissor list and boom operation preferred.

Applied knowledge in the application and practice of life safety, mechanical and building codes.
-
An understanding and knowledge of dehumidification systems.
-
Thorough knowledge and understanding in the operation and maintenance of various types of chillers, chilled water system and cooling towers.

Knowledge and understanding in the operation and maintenance of thermal oil boilers.
-
Thorough knowledge and understanding in the operation and maintenance of various types of air handling units and air distribution systems.
-
Extensive working knowledge of controls and electronic building automation systems.
-
Thorough knowledge in understanding and utilizing technical service manuals, electrical schematics and blueprints.
-
Knowledge o electrical and electronic systems.
-
Ability to use Microsoft Office and other systems.

Familiar with Trane equipment and programs a plus.

Ability to evaluate HVAC systems for performance and efficiency improvement.

Ability to analytically troubleshoot electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment issues using a variety of testing equipment.

This position may require the team member to work with or around machinery in an environment where there may be exposure to noise from machinery, dust, and variable temperatures. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required and may include hearing protection, eye protection, safety shoes, and high visibility clothing.
