Chief Accountant (Poland)

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to support our operations in Poland. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Polish accounting standards, tax regulations, and local financial reporting requirements.

You will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting and compliance of our Polish legal entity, ensuring timely and accurate financial operations in accordance with local laws, accounting support in other jurisdictions

Key Responsibilities:

 • Act as the sole accountant responsible for full-cycle accounting across multiple jurisdictions

 • Manage the bookkeeping, reporting, and tax compliance for the Polish legal entity

 • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Polish GAAP

 • Ensure timely and correct submission of VAT, CIT, and other tax returns according to Polish regulations

 • Liaise with local tax authorities and auditors as needed

 • Process and reconcile invoices, payments, payroll, and bank statements

 • Support budgeting and forecasting processes

 • Monitor and implement changes in Polish accounting and tax legislation

 • Coordinate with internal finance teams and external service providers

 • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and deadlines

 • Сcommunication with outsourcing

Requirements:

 • Proven experience in accounting for companies registered in Poland

 • Strong knowledge of Polish tax and accounting regulations

 • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

 • Fluency in English or Ukrainian;

 Polish is preferred but not mandatory

 • Proficiency in accounting software 

 • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines

 • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
