Chief Perfusionist- NYP/Columbia University Medical Center

We were the first to use CARDIOHELP, the smallest heart-lung machine in the world. And we continue to lead initiatives that shape the field of clinical perfusion.

 

Under the general supervision of the Admin Director-Perfusion, assists in providing overall management of the Clinical Perfusion Department. Performs orientation and monitoring of performance of Perfusion staff to new policies and procedures. Sets up operation of the heart-lung machine according to protocols prescribed by the Attending Surgeon. Performs ancillary duties such as, cell saving, ECMO, VAD, plasma saving and IABP, etc. Performs all duties inherent to managerial role. Participates in hiring, training, evaluation and termination of assigned staff according to hospital policies and procedures. Performs other special projects and duties as assigned. Participates in research and teaching students from affiliated perfusion schools.

 

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from a recognized college or university

• Five years Clinical Perfusion experience

• Board certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion

Salary Range:

$264,500-$285,500/Annual
