ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE:$32.90 per hour
HOURS:Varies, up to 25 per week with both day and evening, as needed

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the MA-Medical Assistant department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.

• Support the Medical Assistant program at Greenville Technical College as an adjunct faculty member
• Prepare lectures, labs, syllabi, tests, and other course assessments to meet established standards
• Develop course materials and laboratory activities related to the core curriculum of medical assisting
• Work with department team to facilitate student learning and success
• Instruct courses, as assigned, by employing appropriate teaching strategies, relating course work to published objectives and demonstrating effective interaction skills with students
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have completed an accredited post-secondary health education program and hold a current credential/license in a field related to medical assisting.
• Skilled in the job duties of a medical assistant, including administrative, clinical and laboratory duties, or have relevant skill and experience in at least one of these areas.
• A history of coursework or training documenting mastery of medical assistant curriculum subject matter, including but not limited to: Anatomy and Physiology, Applied Mathematics, Infection Control, Nutrition, Therapeutic Communication, Administrative Functions, Basic Practice Finances, Third Party Reimbursement, Procedural and Diagnostic Coding, Legal and Ethical Considerations, and Protective Practices
• Must have documented coursework or training in educational theory and techniques. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate Degree or Higher • Previous allied health teaching and/or preceptor experience or related experience in training and compliance • Recent employment experience in a physician’s practice or outpatient clinic
