2024 Summer Engineering Intern

North Las Vegas, NV – Tapestry Fulfillment Center

 

Hourly Rate:  $20/hr

Hours:  40 hours per week

Timeline:  May 27th – August 16th (12 week Internship)

Major:  Industrial Engineering

Academic Progression:  Junior, Senior or Recent Graduate

About our Team: Our Engineering team at Tapestry (Coach, Kate Spade & Stuart Weitzman) supports an 800,000 square foot Fulfillment Center in North Las Vegas by maintaining efficiency and productivity. This team is responsible for ensuring productivity standards are updated and reflect the actual work being performed by our operational associates, through time studies and statistical analyses.  Our Engineering team will identify opportunities for improvement, perform the necessary cost-benefit analyses, and liaise with Operations in order to implement solutions regarding those opportunities. Engineering is also heavily involved in growth-related projects which may require analyses on physical layout, business process, and return on investment.  

 

 

Internship Responsibilities:

  • Perform analyses related to current Engineering projects 
  • Perform time studies to develop standards for current and new processes 
  • Provide and research potential solutions for current process inefficiencies 
  • Layout design, cost-benefit analyses 

 

 

Intern Qualifications:

  • Must be a junior, senior, or new graduate within engineering major
  • AutoCAD knowledge (or comparable tool) 
  • Time Study experience preferred
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio experience 
  • Must be able to work onsite for full 12 weeks of internship
