Description & Requirements

The Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) is an independent, private-sector-led initiative focused on mobilizing private finance and removing barriers to investment in the global transition. GFANZ supports a diverse set of financial sector firms that recognize the opportunity created by transition, and works to identify financing opportunities and develop solutions to unlock investment.

As a key focus, GFANZ works with local and global partners–including governments, multilateral development banks (MDBs), development finance institutions (DFIs), and multilateral fora (e.g., COP and the G20/G7)--to unlock transition finance in emerging markets and developing economies. Our work is led by financial institutions and focuses on both global and country-specific initiatives. The Capital Mobilization team supports country platforms, partners with MDBs and DFIs to scale tools to mobilize private finance, develops relevant analysis and research, and supports the development of solutions to other barriers to investment.
