Role Purpose:
Responsible for re-building, maintaining and managing Future Planning tools and reports including, program budgets, data roll ups, growth projection files, inventory management & tracking files, and capacity management files. The successful candidate will also provide analysis and actionable reports of Conference Production future planning data to aid senior leadership decision making.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and build from start to finish complex analytic models and tools to support the global team, utilizing advanced modelling, Excel, and VBA skills.
Rebuild growth projection model in-line with our business-wide priorities to effectively manage our projected conference growth for long term planning purposes. Automating and streamlining our current processes, whilst taking direction to build a source of truth that reflects similar models across the business.
Build, manage, and continuously improve all planning documents and associated roll ups, critical for managing various functions across the Conferences Future Planning team. Including over 250 complex and cross-linked files at any given time in Microsoft Excel.
Create automations and efficiencies across various planning documents that are widely used across multi-functional teams.
Proactively identify opportunities to automate processes, mapping out project plans to drive document improvement and connections. Use advanced VBA programming to automate manual Excel processes to realize significant time savings and reduction in errors.
Partner with stakeholders and other team members to identify data analytics requirements. Identify and implement most effective and efficient solutions.
Support global team, building conference planning tools from scratch, including problem solving the most effective solutions and training team as required, enabling production team to efficiently analyze large amounts of data & make crucial event planning decisions.
What we’re looking for:
Experience: 6+ years of progressive business experience, preferably in a strategy, consulting or business operations role.
Qualifications & Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced training in Microsoft Excel preferred.
Technical skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel including VBA, with the ability to create and interpret complex Excel reports to track past, present, and future conference data and determine how to represent this in a dashboard. Experience of SharePoint and its capabilities is desirable, but not required. Ability to identify opportunities to automate processes using smart technology and quickly master any new software needed to build the models and tools required to take projects to the next level.

Detail oriented, you have a critical eye for details and can effectively analyze and summarize data. Fast-paced, you operate with a sense of “urgency” and can excel in an execution-focused environment. You have a demonstrated ability to own a problem and aggressively drive from problem statement to solution in a self-sufficient capacity, even in a matrixed environment.
Communication skills: You are an excellent and structured verbal and written communicator. It is essential that you can work alongside a team whose technical skills and knowledge is organically learned and can translate directions and results in a digestible manor.
