Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with scM Business Director, Field Applications Manager, Sales Specialists, Field Applications Specialists along with other key stakeholders to meet U.S. region goals.
Works with scM Field Applications Manager to execute support strategy and initiatives, including instrument installation, applications training, technical support, pre-sales and post-sales activities in assigned region.
Stays current with single cell analysis techniques and industry best practices.
Stays current with BDB scM products and new product releases.
Maintains communication with customers and associates to ensure high level of satisfaction and ensure feedback is applied to continuously improve support programs.
Participates in VOC, R&D beta testing, and technical input to help develop/improve products that exceed customer expectations.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
May travel up to 60% of the time.
Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued license driver’s license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and meet BD’s auto safety standards’.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum BA/BS in life sciences discipline required, MS or PhD preferred.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in hands-on single cell analysis science and laboratory techniques with a focus on genomics, proteomics, and next gen sequencing.
Minimum 2 years’ experience providing internal laboratory or field scientific customer support in single cell analysis techniques.
Adept with scM instrumentation and assay troubleshooting and in the development of assay/workflow designs.
Must have strong understanding of all laboratory workflows in a variety of lab settings and scientific disciplines.
Knowledge or willingness to learn field scientific support and customer-facing techniques.
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Effective project management and goal setting skills.
Effective analytical/problem-solving skills.
Passion for customer centricity, including Voice of Customer.
Willingness to collaborate with sales and marketing to strategically drive BDB business.
