Background & Purpose of the Job 

Hellmann’s is an iconic global brand sold to 450 million consumers in over 50 countries. This role’s primary responsibility is to serve as the Associate Brand Manager for Hellmann’s / Best Foods) US. Hellmann’s is the #1 brand of mayonnaise in the United States, penetrating over 50% of US households. This individual will be responsible for helping to develop world class and industry leading Full Funnel Marketing activities and performance for Hellmann’s / Best Foods. Hellmann’s / Best Foods represents around 35% of the global Dressings turnover for Unilever. US Dressings is important to delivery of results in North America and the Global Nutrition business. We need someone who is eager to learn, passionate about executing large campaigns, developing award-winning creative, and delivering best-in-class execution. The KPI’s this role will need to deliver on is growing household Penetration, growing Market Share and increasing the Brand Power scores.

The role will report into the Senior Brand Manager of Hellmann’s/Best Foods US and will suit an ambitious marketer who is looking to further their experience in performance & engagement marketing. We are looking for individuals who believe in our vision, and who can craft strategy, own a large-scale budget, execute fully integrated brand campaigns, and help lead inter-agency and cross-functional teams in supporting current & launching new products in market. This job presents plenty of scope for independent brand work and team stewardship, agency and cross-functional leadership plus lots of creativity. The ideal candidate has passion for high performance, is knowledgeable about food, consumer centric, and able to manage multiple priorities. They will also have a strong marketing and analytical mindset. Who You Are & What You’ll Do 

  • Help lead the development of full funnel marketing activities for key strategic pillars in the Dressings US strategy, to drive brand & category consumption growth.  

  • Manage share performance & deployment of large-scale marketing budgets for the Hellmann’s/Best Foods business in the US. 

  • Oversee the brand’s best in class in-store visibility assets from development to execution, an essential part of the merchandising strategy 

  • Craft & execute US-centric communications and activation plans with cross-functional and agency partners​ across paid, owned & earned.  

  • Manage the development & execution of marketing assets for big brand seasonal moments, including key game day & holiday pushes.  

  • Leverage data to uncover powerful insights and growth opportunities for the brand, driving insights into action  

  • Work closely with the US innovation team to enable development and deployment from/to other markets of key campaigns for core & innovation launches.  

  • Work with customer development to deliver strong promotional calendar; measure & optimize plan performance throughout the year to improve results.

What You’ll Need To Succeed 

  • BA or MBA ​ 

  • 2-3+ years experience in Brand Marketing or similar required – passion for food is a big plus! 

  • Experience leading consumer marketing programs; strong knowledge of the digital and social landscape  

  • Strong data analytic skills, with ability to turn insights into action to win competitive share. ​ 

  • Demonstrated ability to interface and effectively work with a variety of agency & external partners to deliver integrated campaigns.  

  • The candidate must demonstrate an entrepreneurial mind set and strong bias for action with proven results leading and motivating internal cross functional teams and external partners.    

  • The successful candidate will have good judgement, attention to detail, an aesthetic eye and problem-solving skills.  

  • Understanding of the US retail environment & customer landscape preferred  

  • Strong prioritization skills 

  • Audience and Consumer centric thinker, passionate about full funnel marketing as a capability​ 

  • High comfort level using Circana (POS data) and Numerator (panel data) 

  • A balance of art & science – think differently yet with a pragmatic business mindset​
