We’re looking for a Director of Strategic Communications and Content to join our team and help bring our incredible product to market through compelling content, thought leadership and awareness.  You will also help to support our executive team on internal communications, ensuring that we have a culture of transparency and alignment.     

Here's what you'll do:     

  • Oversee team of 5+ content, social media and graphic design team members.  
  • Lead the content strategy and roadmap development for the marketing organization, ensuring it aligns with product, product marketing and sales goals. This includes content focused on demand generation, thought leadership, customer loyalty, press releases, and more.  
  • Ensure high quality and consistent communication and branding across critical channels and platforms. 
  • Identify opportunities for alignment between communications programs and ongoing integrated marketing campaigns. 
  • Lead the internal and external communications strategy for the executive team including monthly/quarterly all hands, company email policy, social media policy and posting, etc.  
  • Oversee public relations strategy and establish and maintain relationships with key media influencers, community, employee and public interest groups.  
  • Organize PR events (e.g. analyst briefings, press conferences) and serve as the company’s main  spokesperson.  
  • Coach and enable Hotel Engine representatives in effective communication with the public and employees. 
  • Support event marketing team in the execution of speaking engagements at association and industry conferences. 
  • Responsible for measuring and reporting on the success of the communications and content team programs including brand growth and revenue influence.  
  • Employ strategies and approaches to ensure and improve inclusion, diversity, and equity-based outcomes within the organization and across Hotel Engine’s policies, programs, and services. 
     

Here's what we're looking for:     

  • 10-12+ years' experience in a similar role in a high-growth company  
  • 5-7+ years of management experience.  
  • Ability to prioritize work efforts and navigate change    
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive in identifying opportunities and recommending solutions   
  • Strong project management, communication and organizational skills   
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to articulate complex messages to a diverse constituency. 
  • Experience developing and managing budgets and hiring, training, developing, supervising, and evaluating personnel. 
  • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.  
  • Self-starter and comfortable with extreme ambiguity  

Cash compensation: 

  • The base salary for this role is $180,000 to $210,000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise & may vary from the amount above. 

This role is eligible for remote work within the U.S.
