Your Responsibilities

 

As a Cost Analyst for John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will be responsible for leading product costing at the JD Augusta unit.  In this position, you will:

 

• Complete monthly cost cycle activities including new part costing, part audits, and error resolution.
• Prepare Material Variance, Production Variance, and Cost Management System (CMS) reporting with subsequent communication to stakeholders of financial impacts.
• Complete annual cost cycle activities by establishing a project plan for cross-functional participants, aggregating inputs, analyzing, auditing & resolving errors, and reporting impacts to unit stakeholders.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement for cost accounting processes through team & individual pursuits.

What Skills You Need

 

• 3 or more years of experience in an Accounting/Finance role
• Experience collaborating with multiple functions in an effective team environment including ability to influence without authority
• Demonstrated ability as a "self-starter" to initiate independent work while managing multiple assignments
• Demonstrated analytical capabilities and attention to detail

What Makes You Stand Out

 

• SAP experience (High)
• Experience with Deere product cost, engineering change management, new product development, and/or CMS (High)
• Proficiency using Excel, Power BI, and other data analytic tools (Medium)

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
