This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Your Responsibilities
As a Cost Analyst for John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will be responsible for leading product costing at the JD Augusta unit. In this position, you will:
- Complete monthly cost cycle activities including new part costing, part audits, and error resolution.
- Prepare Material Variance, Production Variance, and Cost Management System (CMS) reporting with subsequent communication to stakeholders of financial impacts.
- Complete annual cost cycle activities by establishing a project plan for cross-functional participants, aggregating inputs, analyzing, auditing & resolving errors, and reporting impacts to unit stakeholders.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement for cost accounting processes through team & individual pursuits.

What Skills You Need
- 3 or more years of experience in an Accounting/Finance role
- Experience collaborating with multiple functions in an effective team environment including ability to influence without authority
- Demonstrated ability as a "self-starter" to initiate independent work while managing multiple assignments
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities and attention to detail
What Makes You Stand Out
- SAP experience (High)
- Experience with Deere product cost, engineering change management, new product development, and/or CMS (High)
- Proficiency using Excel, Power BI, and other data analytic tools (Medium)
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
