About the Role

Are you ready to unleash your technical creativity? Dream, Innovate, Inspire and Empower the next generation to transform humanity through technology and imagination! Electrical engineers at Sierra Space research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle from analog and digital electronic circuit card assemblies to fully integrated systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 1 or more years of relevant experience

• Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of required education.

• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices

• Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools

• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams

• The ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Physics, Mathematics, or other related discipline

• Experience applying NASA, ESA, and DOD EEEE requirements and specifications

• Familiarity with the development EEEE standards, specifications, source control drawings, and CONOPS for programs

• Experience providing technical guidance to a diverse team of engineers on issues related to parts engineering

• Familiarity with PLM and MRP/ERP systems

• Familiarity with implementing the use of automotive grade parts in space hardware

• Familiarity with the principles of radiation effects on EEEE parts

• Experience with the development of macros, scripts, Visual Basic, JQL, or other programming languages to support data management and reporting efforts

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Electrical Engineer I - $68,926 - $94,773

Electrical Engineer II - $79,264 - $108,989

Electrical Engineer III - $104,827 - $144,138

Sr Electrical Engineer - $120,552 - $165,759

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

• Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps

• Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity

• Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.

Working Conditions:

• Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)

• Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials

• Rarely exposed to loud noises
