Texas Law’s Clinics represent clients during the preparation, trial, and appeal of cases in litigation or in law-related transactions and projects.
Purpose
The Clinic work-study student works 10 to 12 hours per week providing administrative support to Program Coordinators. The work-study student’s time is divided between different offices.
Responsibilities
Filing
Scanning
Typing
Filling out forms
Using spreadsheets
Translating documents from Spanish into English (nonlegal documents)
Other office duties; no legal or specialized knowledge is required
Required Qualifications
Enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin as an undergraduate student
Meet minimum eligibility requirements for student employment
Authorized to work in the United States
Ability to work in the fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters
Must have a work-study award for the semester or school year
Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken
Salary Range
$17 per hour
Working Conditions
Typical office environment.
Repetitive use of a keyboard.
Work will be performed at the Law School in CCJ or TNH and, occasionally, might be performed remotely at supervisor discretion.
Work Schedule
Must be available to work 10-12 of hours per week.
Position begins on August 25, 2025 and ends on May 31, 2026.
Work may be scheduled flexibly during core business hours of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. A schedule of Monday to Thursday is preferred as much as possible.
