Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated professional to join us as a Program Specialist on the A350 program team in Chula Vista, California.  Our Program team is responsible for meeting customer objectives and managing our internal financial performance. You will be the project owner for several small to mid-size projects with responsibility for the cost, schedule, and operational performance. You are a highly motivated self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills and works well in a team environment.

The A350XWB is a wide body commercial aircraft manufactured by Airbus. The Collins Aerospace Advanced Structures designs and manufactures the nacelle structure for the A350XWB platform.

This position is working onsite at our Chula Vista California facility.

May be eligible for relocation.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Work under the direction of the Program Manager

  • Plan and drive execution of multi-disciplinary projects, including implementation of configuration changes and rate readiness actions

  • Proactively manage risks and opportunities; develop and drive mitigating strategies

  • Collaborate with a variety of functional areas inside and outside the organization to deliver program results

  • Drive continuous improvement activity to improve processes and eliminate waste

  • Solve complex problems and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Communicate and make presentations to internal & external leadership

  • Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally (when circumstances permit)

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

  •  Experience in a manufacturing environment such as supply chain, operations, programs management, materials management, logistics, and/or aftermarket

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytical problem-solving skills, motivated & team orientated

  • Supplier management experience

  • Knowledge of Nacelle systems

  • Knowledge of composites & metallic manufacturing

  • ERP experience

  • CATIA V5 experience
