What You Can Do For Expel

• Minimize/optimize vendor spending by managing vendor renewals, deprovisioning unused licenses, canceling redundant vendors, and negotiating pricing on new vendors. 

• Work cross-functionally to help departments find the right tools to fit their needs. 

• Take ownership of procurement systems and processes as well as company policies around spending.

• Build toward a long-term vision of the procurement function and processes to help the company scale.

• Perform analysis and provide reporting and recommendations on vendors across each department.

• Proven track record of applying creative thinking to solving challenges by collecting data, establishing facts, and providing recommendations to solve problems, in a timely and accurate manner.

• Strong drive for data integrity and ability to balance accuracy and timeliness to drive business decisions

• Bias towards automation, repeatability and efficiency that effectively scales with growth and different business models and business initiatives

• Ability to collaborate across organizational lines

• Excellent project management skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong negotiation skills and depth of experience in this area

• Experience with procurement systems and can build a sustainable function

• Skill with Excel/Google Sheets, 

• System implementation and optimization experience preferred

• Advance skills in collecting, structuring and analyzing  large data sets from disparate data sources across the business 

Additional Notes

Pay range: $TBD USD + bonus eligibility and equity.

We believe in paying transparently and equitably. Your salary will ultimately be based on factors such as your experience, skills, team equity, and market data. You’ll also be eligible for unlimited PTO (which we model and encourage), work location flexibility, up to 24 weeks of parental leave, and really excellent health benefits.

Headquarters is located in Herndon, Virginia. However, we are considering remote candidates.
