This is a 100% Remote position to be based anywhere in North America

 

We are seeking a highly experienced Vice President of Accounting to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and leading our global accounting, financial reporting, IPO preparedness, tax, and treasury functions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and tax, with extensive experience in preparing companies for IPOs. This role reports directly to the CFO.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the global accounting team in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
  • Oversee the financial reporting process, including the preparation of SEC filings, 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and other required disclosures once we are public.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, SEC regulations, and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare the company for an IPO, including developing financial models, drafting financial statements and disclosures, and coordinating with external auditors and legal counsel.
  • Oversee the tax function, including the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and international tax returns, managing tax audits, and identifying tax planning opportunities.
  • Manage the treasury function, including cash management, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Partner with other departments, including FP&A, Legal, HR, and IT, to support strategic initiatives and provide financial analysis and insights to drive business decisions.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance team and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with a track record of success in leadership roles.
  • Experience in Enterprise SaaS organizations with >$100M in revenue
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, including SEC filings and IPO preparedness.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, with a deep understanding of GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Strong tax knowledge and experience, including international tax.
  • Strong treasury experience, including cash management and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.

Salary range guidance for this position is: $210,000-$275,000 per year.
