We’re looking for a Reinsurance Operations Analyst in Raleigh, NC to join us in fulfilling our mission, while utilizing our values of excellence, improvement, and connection. We are looking to expand our franchise through access to new reinsurance business opportunities consisting primarily of GSE credit risk transfer and other mortgage reinsurance transactions. In this role, you will be responsible for various aspects of reinsurance operations, including deal onboarding, management, reporting support, project management, surveillance support, and underwriting support.

For our recently launched Enact Re platform, you will interact with internal business partners (legal, risk, finance, operations, and IT), external business partners (insurance managers, corporate services providers, regulators, rating agencies, and other third parties) in the assessment, pricing, onboarding, management, and reporting of new and existing reinsurance opportunities within our risk appetite.

You will also support Enact’s existing ceded reinsurance platform that seeks to maximize capital flexibility and volatility protection across both traditional reinsurance and insurance linked notes. In this capacity, you will interact with a cross functional team (legal, finance, risk, IT) to support deal execution, monitoring, and reporting processes.

This role will report to the Reinsurance Operations Leader.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contribute to the smooth execution of reinsurance transactions and support the overall risk management efforts of the organization.
• Generate and analyze reports related to reinsurance activities, including financial performance, risk exposure, and portfolio analysis, to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
• Support the implementation and execution of end-to-end reinsurance processes, including establishing new processes, process improvements, system upgrades, or new initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of reinsurance contracts, identify potential risks or discrepancies, and collaborate with others to address any issues.
• Assist in the underwriting process for mortgage reinsurance deals and ensure compliance with underwriting and onboarding processes and guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with underwriters, brokers, clients, and cross-functional teams to facilitate deal management and other support activities.
• Analyze complex information, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights from reports & data.
• Manage and prioritize tasks, coordinate projects, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Effectively manage reinsurance activities with a combination of strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Identify issues, propose solutions, and troubleshoot challenges related to deal management, surveillance, and underwriting.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with reinsurance concepts, processes, and terminology.
• Understand mortgage and credit underwriting principles, including risk assessment and compliance considerations.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information, collaborate with teams, and provide clear reporting support.
• Proven record of strong project management skills.
• Meticulous approach to dealing with data, contracts, and reports to ensure accuracy and precision in all tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analytics tools, and possibly software specific to reinsurance operations.
• A willingness to adapt to changing priorities and market conditions, as well as the ability to quickly learn and apply new information.
• Awareness of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements related to reinsurance and underwriting.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and projects simultaneously.
