Summary of Responsibilities
We are seeking a Retail Go-To-Market Manager to lead the launch and ongoing management of GM Energy products. This role will work cross-functionally and in close coordination with GM divisions to support the introduction and lifecycle management of chargers, adapters, home energy equipment, and related services in the U.S.
You will oversee integration of product messaging, incentive programs, and divisional initiatives; drive retail campaign strategies, performance tracking, reporting, and analytics; support program launches and ensuring alignment with divisional objectives; and increase awareness and adoption of GM Energy products internally and externally
Success will be measured by sales performance, program execution, and the growth of GM Energy’s presence in the market. This position reports to the Senior Group Manager, Sales Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team responsible to develop, implement, and manage go-to-market plan for GM Energy products and services
Develop and create merchandising & product marketing plans
Integrate products & messaging
Design communications considerate of all sales channels and consumer touchpoints: GM/Brands, Dealers, E-Commerce, Direct sales, Partner sales channels
Work with Digital Operations, DBT & DRP team's, and E-commerce and Sales Operations team to integrate charging products in eCommerce platforms and ensure products are properly represented and promoted
Develop & maintain competitive comparisons & intelligence
Lead pricing and sales incentive initiatives on portfolio, in collaboration with GM Energy Finance
Collaborate with GM Energy Marketing and Training teams to develop marketing, training & promotional assets to enable sales performance and strong product knowledge
Support product initiatives including Field & Dealer readiness, e-Commerce readiness, Direct Sales Channel with consumer materials, utility activations and training, etc.
Develop and present GM internal leadership updates on program performance and sales & CX objective tracking.
Develop communications & resources for key stakeholders:
Develop resources to enhance Field, Dealer, e-commerce, Direct & Partner sales channel understanding GM Energy products and services and the planning / requirements / recommendations for vehicle charging, V2G & V2X capabilities
Work cross-company and cross-agency to develop engaging content
Develop materials in alignment with sales channel programs
Lead agencies & suppliers supporting go-to-market efforts
Oversee all GM Internal and Dealer network product communications
Required Skills / Experience / Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent, relevant experience.
7+ years overall related experience
Highly driven marketing professional who excels in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated people leadership ability
Ability to develop high performing and accountable teams through influence (cross-company)
Proven track record partnering with GM dealers to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes
Proven track record leading complex projects (planning, business case development)
