Analog Devices designs and manufactures semiconductor products and solutions. The role of the Senior Engineer, Quality Engineering is to plan and execute stress plans to de-risk or validate new product designs and technology platforms. This position works in a team environment, and testing plans may include intrinsic reliability characterizations, new package robustness evaluations, or advanced look ahead studies to draw out new mechanisms. Qualifications plans for new or re-designed products, processes, and packages are also developed. The Senior Engineer, Quality Engineering also assists in root cause analysis of qualification failures and drives appropriate corrective and preventative actions using structured problem solving methods. This position also involves sustaining support for current products, which includes risk assessments of any field events. Specific duties include:
- Developing technical specifications for Qualification Plans for New Product and new Manufacturing processes in consultation with Product Lines and manufacturing groups
- Research new reliability technologies for new product and new processes and make recommendations regarding applicability to Analog Qualification Specification. Identify and price capital needs to support cutting-edge capabilities for qualifications
- Determine failure method mechanism through FMEA (Failure Modes and Effect Analysis) and/or FMM (Failure Mechanisms Matrix) of new products and processes and recommend reliability testing methodology
- Conduct Qualification Plans according to Qualification Specifications
- Analyze Qualification Plan electrical and physical data and summarize and provide conclusion in written technical reports
- Drive corrective action and prevention on internal and external qualification issues

Actual wage offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, training, external market data, internal equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
