The Role

The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) role is a member of the Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology (BRT) Finance Team. Their primary objective will be to act as Finance support for L3 leaders across BRT. They will contribute to all aspects of the reporting and planning processes and provide decision support to leaders to drive improved financial results to the broader organization.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Finance with a successful track record in financial modeling and analysis
  • Financial services experience preferred; experience in FinTech and Agile constructs a plus
  • Understanding of accounting, financial and business concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to “tell the story” and communicate sophisticated financial information to influence executive decision making
  • Proficiency in modeling financial data and presentation tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint). Experience in Power BI, Anaplan. TBM / Portfolio Costing experience a plus.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, working independently to perform most analyses
  • Ability to handle large quantities of financial data with high levels of accuracy
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and takes initiative to seek creative solutions that challenge conventional approaches
  • Builds and maintains business partner relationships with the ability to influence others across the organization
  • Responds quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining progress of regularly scheduled work
  • Provide decision support to BRT senior leaders, including expense/headcount management and stewardship, cost benefit analysis, and collaboration on various initiatives and business cases
  • Synthesize data, analyses, and strategic insights into presentation format for senior management, finance and business partners on a monthly and ad hoc basis
  • Use tools and business knowledge to develop reporting and analytics that evolve with changes in the business
  • Use enhanced forecasting techniques to inform decision making
  • Contribute to all FP&A activities including month-end close, variance commentary, annual budget, multi-year plan, monthly forecast and reporting of monthly financial results, cost center management
  • Management of the billing allocation model via Anaplan, NGAV and TBM
  • Partner with the Fidelity Wealth central team and corporate accounting teams on corporate deliverables
  • Mentor and coordinate the work of junior associates on the team

The Team

BRT Finance is a key group in the Fidelity Wealth organization that manages nearly $400M annual expenses. We provide financial support to central finance, the BRT senior leadership team, and our finance partners across the firm. We are focused on P&L forecasting, financial reporting, and ad hoc analysis. In supporting these critical parts of the business, the team has broad exposure to and influence on business decisions and processes.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$127,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
