Overview

As the Facilities Coordinator, you will support the facilities team with many aspects of hospitality at Compassion's Global Ministry Center. This includes hosting and coordinating onsite meetings for various leadership teams, planning larger employee events at the GMC, and providing oversight and management to various other GMC amenities. In this role, you will provide a high level of professionalism, logistical support, service, and hospitality.

What will you do?

  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.

  • Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.

  • Coordinate meetings with remote and onsite staff, including high-level leadership meetings, including planning, budgeting, setup, signage, etc.

  • Plan larger events at the GMC, including Christmas events, Flyover, and other events as needed.

  • Manage logistics for both the Compassion Cafe and Compassion Store, including oversight of conditions, inventory, and other aspects.

  • Oversee logistics for various other GMC amenities, including break rooms, plants, seasonal offerings, etc.

  • Review business processes and identify activities required to address the issues, including process steps and impact assessment to increase productivity and efficiency. Prepare supporting documentation such as presentations, future state maps, and business requirements. Make improvements or recommends improvements to processes and activities. Create processes to aid business operations.

  • Contribute to the department budget and tracks expenditures and variances to keep the department in budget. Inform management of variances and corrective recommendations.

  • Gather basic business data such as project costs or process metrics, analyzes the information, and presents reports based on this analysis. Serve as a project manager for small to medium-sized projects to maintain progress toward established goals and deadlines.

  • Other tasks as assigned.

What do you bring?

  • 2-3 years' experience working in hospitality, customer service, or a similar field.

  • Experience supporting and interacting with senior leaders.

  • High level of professionalism and customer orientation.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage lots of different tasks.
