Title: Supplier Quality Engineering Intern
Location(s): Arden Hills, MN

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three to four days per week.

About the Role:
The External Operations (ExOps) organization at Boston Scientific is a global, passionate team that oversees a diverse network of suppliers which manufacture finished devices for BSC distribution. As a Supplier Quality Engineering Intern, you can play a role in ensuring commitment to patient safety and collaborate cross-functionally with internal/external resources to continually improve our supplier’s manufacturing processes. You will build relationships with professionals in a diverse range of fields, inspiring people to embrace a culture of continuous improvement. Your Responsibilities will include
- Assist the team with evaluating and communicating quality issues to suppliers
- Apply systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving issues with suppliers
- Value Improvement Projects (VIPs) such as driving supplier or internal process improvements allowing cost savings for Boston Scientific
- Collaborate and gain experience from a diverse cross-functional team
- Gain better understanding by applying academic knowledge to a real-world problem set
Required Qualifications:
- Currently Pursing degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering
- Must graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027
- Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship
- Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the Arden Hills, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams
- Self-starter with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions
- Knowledge of analytical techniques and statistical analysis
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
