Job Description Summary
The Asset Enhancements Services (AES) Projects Engineer will make immediate contributions working with an energetic, diverse team of engineers performing Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) fuel, safety, services, and thermal hydraulic analyses supporting a variety of applications. This position will have responsibility for executing the asset enhancement projects for the existing operating fleet to demonstrate compliance with licensing requirements and deliver engineering analyses supporting AES Projects such as Extended Power Uprates (EPUs), Maximum Extended Load Limit Limit Analyses Plus (MELLLA+), Thermal Power Optimizations, and other AES Engineering Analyses.Multiple Openings are available.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide engineering analysis project leadership on a production-oriented engineering analysis team.
- Ensure on-time delivery of thorough and accurate engineering analysis, technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations supporting AES work.
- Provide day to day oversight and schedule maintenance for engineering activities, implementing delivery meetings and oversight as necessary to ensure reliable delivery of high quality analyses.
- Working in tandem with the plant Technical Leader, manage and execute solutions to complex technical issues for internal and external customers that arise during reload analyses.
- Provide and facilitate technical mentoring to support transient analysis staff development and knowledge management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, or similar)
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a technology or engineering role
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but qualified remote candidates will be considered.
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

- Understanding of standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the application of engineering techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response.
