Specific Responsibilities Would Include

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer/Planner with a strong analytical mindset and a genuine interest in the fashion industry. This role supports the buying and merchandising team in driving sales, managing inventory, and optimizing product performance. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Production, Sales, Retail Stores, Marketing, and Design—to help manage assortments, execute planning strategies, and track key performance metrics.

  • Compile and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports, providing insights to drive decision-making and support overall business goals.
  • Help build and pass off quarterly buys to the production team. Will be responsible for maintaining accurate buying documents and records for the team, and passing off accurate size scales.
  • Assist in managing product assortments, inventory levels, and replenishment processes to ensure optimal stock and align with demand.
  • Conduct in-depth sales and inventory analysis on bestsellers and slow movers using retail KPIs, providing recommendations to the team.
  • Collaborate with the buying team to forecast demand and make data-driven recommendations on core and seasonal items.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Production, Sales, Retail Stores, Marketing, and Design) to align on product launches, marketing initiatives, and inventory planning.
  • Ensure timely allocation and replenishment of products to retail stores, coordinating with production and logistics to maintain stock availability and maximize in-store sales opportunities.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to organize and maintain large datasets, leveraging pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other functions.
  • Prepare product uploads and maintain product data on Shopify, navigating Shopify apps to gather insights and improve product performance.
  • Utilize SAP and other ERP tools to track, manage, and report inventory and sales data.
  • Support the planning and allocation teams by contributing to demand planning for key/core replenishment items and optimizing stock distribution across channels.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • 1-2 years of experience in buying, planning, and/or merchandising within retail or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, Fashion, or a related field.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
  • Experience with Shopify and familiarity with ERP systems, ideally SAP.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $61,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
