Job Description:

We approach problems with creativity and innovation. The Lakewood, Colorado office is seeking a Part-Time Senior Consultant with geotechnical engineering and geology expertise related to dams. The successful candidate will support various offices in the West and projects throughout the U.S., working with collaborative multi-disciplinary teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and/or senior reviewer by providing geology and geotechnical engineering expertise and technical oversight for projects with varying size and complexity.
- Collaborate with peers in offices across the U.S. and across various technical disciplines to achieve project goals. Other disciplines may include geotechnical, civil, structural, hydraulic, and mechanical engineers, and geologists, environmental scientists, and construction personnel.
- Provide analysis/design guidance and review of design calculations, engineering analyses, and technical reports.
- Mentor junior staff.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's or master’s geology or engineering degree with at least 25 years of professional experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or license Professional Geologist (PG)
- Demonstrated expertise and experience related to risk evaluations, geologic and geotechnical evaluations, coordination among a variety of stakeholders, design review, among others.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A strong work ethic and the desire to perform professionally at a high level.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and well-organized.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience/proficiency with common computer-aided analysis and modeling programs applicable to civil engineering dam and water resource projects.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
The compensation range for this position is between $90/hour to $110/hour. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
