This is an onsite position.
This position supports the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Systems Engineering Department (SED). This is an opportunity to be part of a team that plays a crucial role in keeping our nation’s military safe and mission successful.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinating and conducting projects as assigned by the Platform/Stores Integration competency manager and in support of the Program Manager and IPT leaders
Planning, organizing, and leading weapons and store integration activities to include: conducting engineering analyses, test and evaluation of weapon systems, and related subsystems and components
Developing requirements and store integration plans to ensure total weapon system performance
Managing and executing the airworthiness process for all store integration activities
Coordinating data requirements with airworthiness subject matter experts, ensuring data requirements meet established NAVAIR airworthiness requirements
Coordinating projects with VX-23 (PAX) and VX-31 (China Lake) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
Reviewing flight clearances for technical accuracy and safety of flight
Reviewing and preparing the set of documentation such as detailed specifications and test and evaluation master plans (TEMPs), to gain an overall background and identify possible integration problem areas
Preparing and/or reviewing project correspondence such as test plans, technical reports, letters, and memorandums
Serve as Navy, IPT and store integration department representative during participation at conferences, design reviews, program meetings, mockup reviews, seminars and symposia
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university
10+ years of recent and relevant engineering experience with at least 3+ years directly related to DoD systems
