Position: AVP of Residential Services
Location: Dorchester, MA including travel throughout Greater Boston and Plymouth
Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: $90,000.00. Exempt.
Overview:
WORK Inc. is seeking a candidate to provide strategic leadership, management, and oversight for all aspects of residential programs within WORK Inc. The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Residential Services is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for providing strategic direction, operational oversight, and leadership for all residential programs. The AVP ensures the highest standards of service delivery, regulatory compliance, and program development in alignment with the organization’s mission and goals. This role directly supervises program directors and collaborates with cross-functional teams to advance individual-centered initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
This position carries high accountability for results and outcomes, requiring a deep understanding of how one's efforts, results, and attitude impact others. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in a supervisory role and the desire to improve the quality of life for program participants.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The AVP of Residential Services’ essential duties/responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the information listed below:
- Assist in the overall management and leadership of the residential services department, working closely with the Vice President or executive leadership to align departmental goals with the organization’s mission.
- Develop and implement effective management accountability systems.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of residential programs and services.
- Supervises a team that includes directors, managers, and support staff within the residential services division ensuring effective performance management, training, and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, local, and organizational regulations, policies, and funding requirements, including timely reporting and documentation. Collaborate closely with the internal quality department to ensure adherence to all required compliance tasks.
- Lead or assist in budget planning, fiscal oversight, and resource allocation for residential operations, including monitoring program budgets and capital planning.
- Develop and maintain service plans for residents, coordinate with other departments (e.g., health services, safety and finance), and facilitate access to supportive services as needed.
- Collaborate with the Vice President or executive leadership on new program development and initiatives.
- Represent the residential services department or organization at internal and external meetings, committees, and community events, fostering partnerships with stakeholders and service providers.
