Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Manager works in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, the Director of Quality and Population Health and the management team. The RN Manager facilitates the improvement of clinical outcomes by planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical quality initiates. The Clinical Manager develops initiatives and training to support patient/family focused, high performance/high commitment care by defining and achieving standards for quality patient care; and developing managing and evaluating area-based work team performance for a diverse nursing staff in multiple locations. Has vision for the practice and works toward the goals of each clinic. Communicates with and involves nursing staff in process improvement to achieve company PCMH recognition goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• 1. Leading
• Under the direction of the Administrator, CMO, Committees, Board of Directors and Physicians at each clinic, assists in setting objectives and supports clinical nursing staff to provide exceptional patient care
• Works with the practice administrator, recognizes and rewards desired performance
• Works with physicians, managers, and administrator to improve patient flow and nursing support to the providers

• 2. Communication
• Develops an environment of trust, fairness, consistency, and confidentiality with nursing/clinical staff
• Shares knowledge with others across multiple disciplines including, but not limited to practice managers, staff nurses, lab technicians and providers
• Listens, seeks clarification, and uses findings to develop solutions to identified issues

• 3. Standards and accountability
• In collaboration with VIPMS committees, physicians, administrator, and managers, develops processes for goal setting, ongoing assessment, and employee coaching
• Assists physicians, managers, and staff in the delivery of quality patient care
• Develops patient satisfaction resolutions working with providers and staff to ensure quality care and excellent customer service
• Attends and participates in committee and clinical liaison quarterly meetings
• Develop training with the goal of each employee gaining skills to work wat the same level of competency at the top of their scope
• Strive for safe, customer friendly environment, addressing customer service issues with management team
• Submits to compliance committee clinical evidence-based standards for office policies and procedures
• Work with practice managers during employee evaluation process annually
• Meet with site physicians and manager to give feedback, address concerns, and work together to p
• 4. Developing people
• Oversee hiring, training and continuing education of clinical support staff
• Build, maintain, and support a culture that fosters effective working relationships
• Utilize and model Credo behaviors to build relationships and manage conflict within scope of responsibility
• Lead clinical liaisons to further build skill level and enhance day to day patient service in each location
• Identify service recovery strategies that preserve individual dignity
• Develop employee career paths through educational courses

• Assist administrator with annual budget for both operating and capital expenses
• Effectively prioritize competing demands
• Accountable for alignment of priorities in a real time environment
• Assist in addressing issues, problem solving, and evaluating outcomes
• Collaborate with management and physicians across the organization to identify and develop innovative strategies that improve service, quality, and productivity
• Recognize, initiate, and manages change
• Develop and maintain nursing handbook and training materials
