Assistant Designer, Sweaters

Our Company: Bernard Chaus, Inc. designs, sources, and markets nationally and internationally an extensive range of women's career, casual sportswear, and dresses. Their products are sold through all primary retail distribution levels, principally under various trademarks and under private label brand names.

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of sweater construction, GG, and yarn is ideal.
• Organized team player looking to work within a fast paced sweater team.
• Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and working between Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong sketching ability and CAD on illustrator
• Good communication skills with our overseas factories
• Will be required to attend meetings, making detailed notes and take photographs

Requirements

• Associate degree in Fashion Design required
• Min 1-3 years in sweater design experience mandatory
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop
• Strong in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Office
