The Director, US HCP Marketing will develop strategy and execute tactics, directed at health care professionals treating people living with generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG). The focus of the role will be to lead the development of HCP strategies and tactics, inclusive of unbranded disease state education and branded education to continue growth of the VYVGART franchise and achieve business objectives. 

This role will report to the Senior Director of US HCP Marketing, MG Indication Lead, and will partner closely with key internal and external cross-functional partners to plan and implement personal, non-personal tactics to support the assigned indications. In close collaboration with the rest of the Marketing team, this role will support the VYVGART® brand and portfolio strategies with pull-through to Commercial Field Team, KOL engagement, and National and Regional Congress presence and execution. The Director will also deliver on key brand expectations such as Brand Planning, Tactical Planning, Launch Readiness, and Quarterly Business Reviews.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of the branded VYVGART / VYVGART Hytrulo (efgartigimod) strategy, messaging and tactics for US HCPs

  • Ongoing development and updating of the branded strategy and strategic brand plan

  • Ensure customer and competitor insights drive actionable updates to strategy

  • Ensure readiness of materials to support the XFT Commercial Field Organization, including territory business managers (TBMs), field clinical educators (FCEs), thought leader liaisons (TLLs), etc.

  • Work cross-functionally to prepare the XFT Field Organization and drive brand direction at POA meetings, training, etc.

  • Management of key agency partners, including the Brand AOR, congress partners, digital and media partners, in the development and execution of market development and brand plans. Ensure marketing direction is pulled through and project timelines are met

  • Collaborate and co-create with multiple functional groups within the organization, including but not limited to Marketing, Marketing Operations, Field Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Compliance, Legal and Regulatory

  • Partner with non-personal promotional (NPP) lead to align strategy and tactics, as well as to optimize data analytics and inform business decisions

  • Work closely with Legal, Regulatory and Medical Affairs to effectively navigate
    Promotional Material Review process, prioritize and ensure timely and compliant development of HCP-directed tactics

  • Develop and mentor fellow HCP marketing team members to help improve team / brand performance, and increase marketing skills and capabilities across the organization

  • Execute multiple, simultaneous projects and manage resources to ensure deliverables are on time, on budget, and address business objectives

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • The US commercial organization is Boston-based; this person must be in the office as needed to support key planning and coordination meetings

  • BS/BA degree (science or business degree preferred); MBA is a plus

  • 10 years of experience in marketing and/or relevant commercial experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry

  • Experience effectively managing external agency partners, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and internal/external stakeholders to effectively implement strategies and programs

  • Agility, proven ability to influence without authority and cross-functional collaboration
