Here’s what you’ll be doing:
The Program Risk Manager will exercise a considerable degree of independence andperform a leadership role in a small team within a broader Program Management
function. They will exercise sound decision-making and judgement to support
capability acquisition and sustainment requirements as it pertains to a Program Risk
Management function in line with the Programs objectives and requirements.
They will have in-depth knowledge of how Program Risk management in an ICT
business change environment and the One Defence Capability System can be
applied and will be responsible for the development, implementation, compliance
and review of policies and procedures relevant to the function of Program Risk
Management. They will provide detailed management, technical, professional and
policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning,
program and project management and policy development.
This will entail the need to plan, develop, coordinate and support the team in
managing workflows, setting work priorities, developing risk strategies and
evaluating outputs to address requirements relating to Program Risk Management.
Proactively identify and manage risk.
Manage schedule(s) to ensure effective completion of all scheduled task and
activities.
Provide advice to stakeholders including the capability manager, contractors, FIC
stakeholders and boards
.

Requirements
The Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
• Previous experience in Risk Management in a complex organisation
• Ability to provide specialist advice on Program Risk Management
• Ability to solve complex problems and manage issues to support delivery of capability, including understanding of the technical, operational, and logistical requirements for LC4 Program Management.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate highly effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience working in a complex stakeholder system.
• Ability to build appropriate and effective business relationships.
• Evaluate and ensure that Program Risk Management meets requirements in line with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks; and
• Ability to analyse, develop and implement work plans to support delivery of outcomes, understand critical success factors, and recommend changes.
Highly Desirable Experience and / or Qualifications
• Previous CASG experience in supporting either acquisition projects or capability sustainment.
