POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Designer supports the footwear team through executions of tech packs, material/component organization, color ups, and digital/in person presentation prep. The ideal candidate will have a passion for out of the box thinking combined with knowledge of real-world applications and be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Assist Designer will focus on the sketching and tech packs of men’s and women’s beach slides, flip flops and outlet styles.
• Support with research and innovation for all shoe types   
• Review & track samples for fit and construction & send approvals as necessary to maintain time-line.
• Participate in departmental and cross-departmental meetings as appropriate.
• Render sketches in colors and materials digitally.
• Building and maintaining spec library and material/component library.
• Prepares for sample reviews by setting up the showroom and digital presentations.
• Strong organizational skills, accountability in meetings with taking notes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 1-2 years of footwear Design experience  

        

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field  

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Eager to learn
• Organized/focused
• Good work ethic
• Works well in a team
• Ability to multi task

DECISION MAKING: May be asked to do research or to source material samples for design concepts.

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: Ability to recognize trends, source trend-right materials, trims, and work creatively

Pay Range:$60,000 - $75,000

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
