Act as a strategic thought-leadership role requiring strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities to drive sizable, complex, cross functional results. Our General Merchandise business includes home, fashion, automotive, tools & hardware, school & office, sporting goods, electronics, toys, and seasonal.

Supporting the entire Walmart US segment, the role requires a broad understanding across the entire business to enable input into all major financial decisions and will often be required to work in matrixed situations.

The ability to challenge all aspects of the business in delivering improved performance whilst maintaining strong working relationships is key to success in this role. Additionally, the ability to understand business trends, foresee financial opportunities and risks, and effectively influence business results is an important part of the everyday.

Building Strategic Relationships – Maximize relationships areas to collaborate on choices, expediate business decisions, and quickly action when needed 

Developing Actionable Insights – Structured approach to solving business problems, identifying geographic opportunities, assessing upside potential and taking actions

Enable Strategic Initiatives – Thought leadership & support for cross-functional initiatives – facilitating collaboration/alignment to accelerate market share gain and customer share of wallet
