We are seeking a highly hands-on HR Generalist to support our key stakeholders and HR team. This role requires a strong presence, partnering closely with frontline leaders and employees to drive execution across core HR processes. The ideal candidate is operationally grounded, responsive, and action-oriented, with proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. This individual must be comfortable balancing employee relations, compliance, and day-to-day HR execution while reinforcing a culture of accountability and performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Frontline HR Support (Primary Focus)

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for our workforce
  • Maintain on-site presence to proactively address employee concerns and support supervisors
  • Provide real-time coaching to managers on employee relations, performance, and attendance management
  • Ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and disciplinary actions

2. Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Lead and support investigations, corrective actions, and terminations with appropriate documentation
  • Partner with leaders to drive performance accountability across teams
  • Support Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and track follow-through
  • Mitigate risk through consistent and compliant HR practices

3. Compliance & HR Operations

  • Maintain accuracy of employee records, timekeeping, and HRIS data
  • Support audits and reporting requirements
  • Partner with payroll and benefits to resolve employee issues when escalation is required
  • Support recruiting efforts, including interviews, offers, and onboarding
  • Monitor turnover, absenteeism, and engagement trends, and recommend actions
  • Reinforce a positive, compliant, and performance-driven work environment
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and plant communications
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees while maintaining management alignment
  • Assist with rollout of HR programs (performance management, training, policy updates)

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • +4 years of HR experience, with direct experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations and labor law compliance
  • Advanced proficiency using MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Knowledge of employment laws, EEOC, ADA, wage and hours, LOA.
  • Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written
