Position Summary
Aetna Better Health of Florida (ABH-FL) is searching for a Senior Manager, Supplemental Benefits and Programs. This role serves the Medicaid and CHIP members under the state contracts held by Aetna in Florida. Supplemental Benefits are incremental and in addition to the Medicaid state-required benefits.
As Senior Manager of Supplemental Benefits and Programs, this colleague will be on point as the subject matter expert of ABH-FL offerings and will monitor the utilization of the whole portfolio of Expanded Benefits, Incentives and Programs. As the subject matter expert (SME), the colleague will take steps to fully understand the health plan’s members and their needs. This role coordinates across all other functional areas (such as compliance & contract management, marketing, product, analytics, finance, health services, social impact team, community development, network, and operations) to ensure the appropriate development, integration, promotion and delivery of the health plan’s Expanded Benefits, Incentives and Programs. This role reports to the ABH-FL Director of Strategy.
Duties include:
- Regular (monthly) reporting to Plan leaders on the utilization, marketing, development, member satisfaction of Expanded Benefits and Incentives.
- Regular (may be weekly or monthly) reporting to Plan leaders on Program development, execution, and performance.
- Development of strategy to drive and manage utilization aligned to goals.
- Accountability for all regulatory reporting aligned to Expanded Benefits, Incentives, and Programs.
- Work directly with Product team leaders to ensure a full understanding of how existing Expanded Benefits and Incentives are designed and can be obtained. In turn, this colleague brings feedback and insights to the Product team to improve the offerings and delivery of these benefits and incentives.
- Interface directly with the Social Team, Care Managers, and Call Services Representatives to educate and coordinate information so these member-facing roles are fully able to promote to members and vendors serving members the Expanded Benefits and Incentives.
- Coordination with leaders of select vulnerable populations (e.g., PDN/SNF children) to ensure the members/families are fully aware of the expanded benefits and incentives that may be helpful to their circumstances. In such cases, this colleague may interface with members but that is not a consistent part of this job’s duties for all members. Similarly, if there are supplemental benefits that are not already in place to serve these vulnerable populations, this colleague would lead the discussion with the product team on developing responsive new benefits/incentives.
- SME-level Participation in RFP and contract implementations
- As part of the health plan strategy team, this colleague will also work on special projects at the direction of the Director of Strategy.
