Job Overview:
LPL Financial is seeking a Senior Network Engineer responsible for the design, engineering, and operations of wired/wireless Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN) and branch offices in a Hybrid Data Center/Cloud environment. This role focuses on delivering scalable, resilient, and secure networking solutions for LPL, our advisors, and their clients.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support network technology at branch sites and data centers.
Manage LAN/WAN design, deployments, and administration of MPLS, DIA, and SD-WAN technologies.
Troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and implement continuous improvements.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors/partners.
Develop solutions aligned with Hybrid Data Center/Cloud architecture and industry standards.

Requirements:
3+ years of network engineering experience, including design/configuration/troubleshooting of Cisco switches, routers, and wireless connectivity.
Experience in onsite branch office deployments for mid-sized to large organizations.
Knowledge of network security hardening and controls, as well as experience using network monitoring/logging tools (e.g., SolarWinds, LiveNX, ELK).
Ability to perform periodic network performance and compliance analysis, optimization, reporting, and long-term planning.
Core Competencies:
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technologies in business terms.
Experience designing, architecting, and implementing routing, switching, and data center solutions in multi-vendor environments.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
Preferences:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
CCNA/CCNP certifications a plus.
Corporate & Guest Wireless experience.
Experience with Cisco SDA or Meraki.
Solid knowledge of protocols and standards (VLANs, Spanning-Tree, OSPF, BGP, DNS, 802.1x).
