Your Specific Responsibilities:
Grant Manager
Serves as a grant manager and is responsible for the administration and monitoring of multiple biomedical research grants. This includes all aspects of the grant management lifecycle including application development and submission, pre-award tasks, post award execution and monitoring, grant reconciliation and closeout.
Works with Principal Investigators and Sponsored Research Officers on the effective execution of grants, terms and conditions, and amendments as necessary
Provides technical assistance to grant awardees and points of contact. Develops deliverables and prepares agreements and amendments as required. Tracks and reviews quarterly progress reports for grants.
Performs desk and onsite monitoring of assigned grants (if necessary).
Tracks grant budgets and submits invoices to ensure payment within compliance timeframes.
Maintains good working relationships and keeps in close coordination with grant awardees and applicable points of contact. Maintains all files on the grant from execution to final closeout.
Responsible for entering data into tracking logs to meet compliance requirements and accurate reporting. Responds In a timely and comprehensive manner to inquiries sent by internal or external entities regarding grants.
Supports, coordinates, and represents the Division at meetings, councils, conferences, and other events (virtual or in-person) as needed.
Assists with preparation of reports and analyses as requested by the supervisor for use in decision making or reporting to Executive Leadership.
Advisory Boards and Committees
Provides administrative support for advisory boards/committees/councils as assigned.
Plans, schedules, and facilitates advisory board/committee/council meetings including drafting of the agenda, meeting minutes, and follow-up communications as assigned.

Within 90 days of hire, must successfully complete the required modules of the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI). Thereafter, must successfully complete all refresher modules when needed. Completion of a similar program may substitute for the CITI program with supervisor's approval.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Critical thinking, problem solving, customer centricity, and risk management. Understanding of methods of data collection and analysis; basic management principles and practices. Ability to work independently, determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; assess budgetary needs; formulate policies and procedures; understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to the program; organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials; collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices; conduct fact finding research; solve problems and make decisions. Skill in Microsoft Office Suite. Skill in Adobe Acrobat.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
- A current Florida Certified Contract Manager Certification (FCCM).
- Two years of professional experience in contract or grant management with a State of Florida Government Agency.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office 365 Applications.
