About the role

SUMMARY
Arcticom,  a company within the BSNC family is currently seeking a qualified Supply Technician for COMSUPCEN in Lexington, KY. The Supply Technician performs various aspects of supply management work under general supervision and is expected to perform consistently with Army Regulations and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) policy and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage maintenance work orders; including coordinating equipment movement from support teams to vendors for repair and return movement upon completion of work.
  • Process supply requests from supported units that require issue from Authorized Stockage List (ASL) stock or pass to Procurement for purchase from approved vendors.
  • Monitor and facilitate fielding/issue of new equipment and or modifications to existing equipment to ensure completion in timely and accurate manner within budgeting requirements.
  • Monitor and facilitate temporary equipment loans and retrieval to/from supported teams.
  • Follow FAR and DFAR policies and department SOG in performing all functions of the position.
  • Maintain required recurring training.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s)

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory control
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Basic analytical and creative problem-solving skills to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data, to establish the facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established
  • Excellent customer service skills including verbal communication, interpersonal, and planning/organizational skills (work with many customers and departments)
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Ability to multi-task is essential.
  • Must be flexible and have ability to prioritize requirements.

 

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Army Regulations
  • Prior Logistics experience
  • Knowledge of DoD CBRN Response Enterprise (CRE) Elements (CST/HRF/CERFP/MED/FSRT)
