Warehouse Associate

POSITION SUMMARY

This person is responsible for consolidating and packaging of small parts for shipment to customers in a timely and accurate manner while following proper quality & safety guidelines. This position is critical for ensuring correct quantity of products are being pulled and packaged in order to meet customer expectations in a quality manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Packaging Support (80%)

• Consolidated orders distributed on packaging line for processing

• Scan summary label from consolidation carton to review order prior to packaging

• Select and scan size/box necessary to package order properly • Follow proper package guidelines to ensure all product and documentation for the order is included in the shipment and packaged in an appropriate manner to provide quality delivery to customer

• Finalize transaction in system to generate packaging label and customer invoice • Temporarily support picker role as needed for short periods of time

• Trouble shoot system shipping errors as needed and determine best available option and communicate as necessary

Quality/Safety (20%)

• Apply proper labeling for dangerous goods shipment and California Prop-65 labeling to ensure compliance with safety regulations

• Consistently and accurately package for shipment and ensure correct invoicing of product

CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Working knowledge of current ERP system

• Working knowledge of tablet & scanning system/equipment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• At least 1-2 years previous warehouse experience

Ability to lift, push/pull and stand/walk for long periods of time

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Fast paced warehouse environment

• Daily PC & scanning system use

• Frequently lifting and push/pull up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs

• Walking and standing for long periods of time on concrete floors (full shifts)
