Warehouse Material Handler

As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will ensure products get where they need to be. Experience

• General warehouse experience preferred
• Experience handling telecommunications equipment is a plus
• 1 to 3 years consistent work experience
• Associates Degree in any field

In This Role You Will

• Process customer orders daily to meet their expectations

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (once certified), and push carts

• Materials Receiving incoming freight throughout the day, with emphasis on attention to detail as this role involves having to consistently match material received versus what was ordered.

• Sort, select, pack and palletize shipments and maintain system records of product movement

• Perform cycle counts and assist in physical inventory assessments

• Perform the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment

• Unpack and check goods received against packing list, Bill of Material (BOM) or invoices

• Unload, move, stack and stage customer products and materials by hand and with motorized equipment, keeping appropriate records 

• Match shipments with pack slips on multiple POs to multiple locations on multiple sites

• Re-package supplies ordered to ship to end-users

• Ensure materials are available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules

• Organize and set up repackaged shipments based on multiple locations and multiple sites

• Manage and organize orders and place in proper areas throughout the facility 

• Problem solve and do some research whenever issues arise such as miss-shipments, lost deliveries, damaged shipments, wrong product received by vendors/customers, etc.

• Work closely with procurement team to solve PO issues such as short shipments, labelling issues, wrong product shipped, etc.

• Provide support to the rest of the team as needed

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time (involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching) required
• Ability to lift, carry, and push heavy items (50 lbs)
• Ability to pass forklift certification written exam and driving demonstration
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with the procurement team, remote teammates and other material handlers and transportation companies
• Ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess the ability to comprehend and carry-out instructions provided in oral, written, and diagram format.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast paced and demanding environment
