About the role

The  Senior Business Analyst, Commercial & Industrial will support Brookfield Renewable US in delivering complex renewable energy transactions to clients and fostering client relationships.  This position is based in Brookfield’s New York City headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain research, analytics, marketing, and communication tools for the US energy markets in connection with client pitches
  • Prepare outreach and proposal materials for commercial opportunities
  • Support transaction analysis, risk analysis, transaction negotiation and reporting of complex commercial transactions throughout their life cycle
  • Work collaboratively with other functions to ensure transactions meet the organization’s internal risk-return requirements and are compliant with all applicable policies/procedures/controls
  • Interact and support discussions with clients, Trading, Risk, Legal, Capital Markets, M&A, and other key organization functions

  • A solid understanding of derivative structuring, retail & wholesale energy markets

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience working as an analyst in a similar environment
  • Bachelor`s or Master’s degree in engineering, economics, business, finance, sustainability, or other relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver results for multiple, concurrent complex tasks
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of electric power generation and transmission systems
  • Knowledge of renewable energy contracting, financing, and modelling
  • Knowledge of ISO market rules and renewable procurement standards
  • Qualified to work in the United States

 

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000
