BioInformatics Scientist

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain all genomic databases.

• Assemble and maintain pangenome data for field crops.

• Develop and maintain a data imputation pipeline.

• Implement, manage, and maintain a BLAST server and a genome browser.

• Support other areas with Bioinformatics data mining and analysis of NGS data.

 

Required and Desired Skills:

• A PhD. degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related fields.

• Coding knowledge in R, Python and SQL.

• Experience in Linux environments.

• Basic knowledge of genomics.

• Knowledge of cloud computing preferred.

• Proactive, self-motivated and self-driven person with high accountability.

• Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
