Position Overview:
The HR Generalist performs a broad range of Human Resources responsibilities, providing support for HR operations, employees, leaders, and organizational initiatives across multiple company facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, address concerns and mediate conflicts to foster a positive work environment.
- Facilitate employee performance evaluation program.
- Facilitate the onboarding process of new employees.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Facilitates employee recognition programs.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings,
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems. (Paylocity preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Qualifications: (Minimum & Preferred):
Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
Experience and/or Training: 3+ years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Licenses/Certificates: HRCI or SHRM accreditation preferred
Type: HR Generalist, Full Time, 7am-4:30pm, M-F
