Position Overview:

The HR Generalist performs a broad range of Human Resources responsibilities, providing support for HR operations, employees, leaders, and organizational initiatives across multiple company facilities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, address concerns and mediate conflicts to foster a positive work environment. 
  • Facilitate employee performance evaluation program.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process of new employees.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. 
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Facilitates employee recognition programs.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, 
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems. (Paylocity preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Qualifications: (Minimum & Preferred):

Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred. 

Experience and/or Training: 3+ years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing environment 

Licenses/Certificates: HRCI or SHRM accreditation preferred


Type: HR Generalist, Full Time, 7am-4:30pm, M-F
