Key Responsibilities
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
- Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
- Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
- Analyse department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency and accuracy to inform business decisions
- Ensure network components meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions
- Continuously analyse current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement
- Prepare cost benefits analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously analysing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service value for company needs
- Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed
- Develop and execute disaster procedures, and maintain data backups
- Lead a lean, global team of IT specialists
- Be the super user of shared tools, platforms and guidelines across the TransferTo group of companies (3)
- Take charge of IT automation across TransferTo offices
- Work closely with the Procurement Manager to find and manage the correct suppliers across the group
- Develop & maintain documentation
Professional Experience and Qualification
- Preferably minimally 8+ years of experience with managing office infra and security global companies such as but not limited to:
- Manage homogeneous environment
- Hardware and software inventory Cost governance
- Patch Management
- Onboarding & Offboarding of user accounts and devices
- Disaster & Recovery strategy
- Vendor management
- Software licence management
- IT asset management
- Identity and access management
- Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows and Mac OS Operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring
- Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions
- Familiar with SSL & IPSEC VPN ( Fortinet appliance), Active Directory(AD), LDAP, RADIUS, 2FA/MFA, SAML
- Experienced with cloud-based corporate hosting (Google Workspace, Office 365, Atlassin, ESET, Slack)
- Team management / Proven team leadership is highly preferred
- Strong creative and analytical thinking
- Professional certifications in infrastructure
