Director, Data & Analytics

Create is hiring a Director, Data & Analytics to build and lead Create’s data function from the ground up. This person will own everything from data infrastructure to insights: architecting systems, uncovering opportunities, and enabling smarter, faster decisions across the business. The ideal candidate combines a deep understanding of backend data engineering with strong business instincts and a collaborative attitude. You'll be the first data hire at Create and have the ability to build a small, high-powered team overtime.

What You’ll Do

• Build Create’s data ecosystem: Architect and maintain our warehouse, pipelines, transformations, and BI layer (ETL, dbt, Snowflake/BigQuery, etc).
• Create business visibility: Design and own company dashboards that track KPIs across marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance.
• Drive insights: Perform deep analysis on growth, retention, product, and operations to identify opportunities and risks.
• Enable teams: Build self-serve tools, processes, and frameworks to make data accessible to every function.
• Infuse data-driven thinking: Evangelize best practices and train the team to use data more effectively.

Requirements

• Strong command of SQL and Python (you’re as comfortable writing queries as building models).
• Experience with modern BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Mode.
• Proven success building data stacks and analytics functions at high-growth companies; DTC/CPG experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and business intuition—you translate data into decisions.
• Track record of excellence, ownership, and clarity in fast-paced environments.
• Early adopter mindset—you’re curious about and hands-on with AI tools that make analytics smarter and faster.
