Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• AWS Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyze AWS usage, focusing on cost trends, variances, and potential savings for our SaaS product.

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in monthly and quarterly budget planning and forecasting AWS expenses.

• Cost Optimization: Work with engineering teams to identify cost-saving opportunities in AWS services, such as Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and right-sizing resources.

• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on AWS spend and cost optimization recommendations for the finance and operations teams.

• Financial Modeling: Support the finance team by building and maintaining models to project AWS costs and potential impacts of usage changes.

• Data Management: Collect, organize, and analyze data from various AWS billing tools and third-party financial software to maintain accurate financial records.

• Collaboration: Work closely with finance, SRE, and engineering teams to understand infrastructure needs and optimize costs.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Experience: Internship or 1-2 years in financial analysis, cost analysis, or cloud infrastructure finance preferred.

• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial modeling; experience with AWS cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Cloud Health, or Cloud ability) is a plus.

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS products and billing structures, is beneficial.

• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $56,000 - $106,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
