Clinical Research Project Manager AJob Description Summary
The Human Motion Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Clinical Research Project Manager. This person will work closely with Penn Medicine research faculty and clinicians to recruit and consent participants into research studies, supervise lab personnel, collect human subjects research data, manage human subjects regulatory documents, and perform other tasks. This Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple funded research studies with close interacitons between researchers within Orthopaedics and across other departments including Obstetrics, Neurology, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. The person will also work with researchers from the Philadelphia VA to complete pilot projects supported by the CReATE Motion Center. Strong management skills, interpersonal skills, experience independently submitting and managing IRB protocols, engaging with patients in clinical research settings, and ability to maintain organized notes is essential. This person will be expected to supervise other clinical research coordinators and support staff to efficiently run the day-to-day operations of the research group. This person will also provide timely reports to the lab director including study enrollment reports and closely monitor patient enrollment and compensation logs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary as interacting with patients and clinicians is a regular part of this position. This project manager will complete these research activities at multiple Penn Orthopaedic locations including Penn Medicine University City (West Philadelphia), Pennsylvania Hospital (Center City), and Penn Medicine Radnor (western suburbs).Job Description
