Position: Vice President, Strategic Sourcing
Reports to: SVP, Internal Operations and Business Planning
Location: San Francisco, with a hybrid work environment (2 days/week in office, 2 days remote, and 1 flex day)

Your role at Sephora:
As Vice President of Strategic Sourcing you will lead and innovate a Center of Excellence for the Strategic Sourcing function utilizing an end-to-end process leveraging a matrix organization with highly interactive global stakeholders.
The Strategic Sourcing VP is responsible for delivering value and leading innovation for the organization through a broad set of sourcing, procurement, and governance activities. This position is responsible for collaborating closely with stakeholders in our C- Suite to understand needs and strategic objectives for the various departments to develop a long-term roadmap for sourcing opportunities to drive value and mitigate risks. This person leads a diverse team, works cross-functionally with the various departments and offices throughout the firm to evaluate requirements of goods and services, manage implementation of new supplier programs, communicate contract terms, and facilitate hand-off of contract management to our legal partners and the business unit to establish new supplier relationships in an efficient manner while enhancing our diverse supplier base.
This role also oversees our Contingent Labor Program and Supplier Diversity Initiative functions.
This leader will be adept at change management and implementing new programs and processes on a regular basis in partnership with other key stakeholders.
This team leader manages over $1.8 Billion in annual in-direct spend over several categories for various departments in the organization.
In addition, the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing will develop, manage, and execute a global compliance function that works in tandem with Internal Control, Legal and LVMH global partners to ensure adherence to all corporate policies and guidelines. You will be responsible for implementing a global corporate compliance program, managing a team of compliance professionals, partnering with leaders across the business globally to instill and reinforce a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance. This role will also develop and oversee a robust compliance program and advise stakeholders on risk management.
- Enhance, develop, and implement anti-corruption, trade violations, conflicts of interest, antitrust and competition, and political activities compliance policies, guidelines, and documentation in partnership with Human Resources, Finance, Legal and Sephora Global.
- Build compliance strategy and strengthen a proactive compliance culture, including promoting open discussion regarding risk with complete transparency.
- Advise on effective risk management strategies to support risk mitigation activities across a global organization
Lastly, this role is accountable for leading all in-direct good and services, while managing to deliver prescribed cost avoidance and annual savings targets. Reporting to the SVP of Internal Operations and Business Planning, you will be responsible in developing and building strong relationships with senior leadership and be recognized as a value partner in and influence business decisions. In addition, you will:
- Provide leadership to a team of sourcing professionals to establish category plans, execute sourcing strategies, mitigate risk, drive innovation, manage key suppliers and achieve savings targets
- Be responsible for roughly $1.8B in annual spend across in-direct categories supporting the following departments: Corporate Services, Retail Operations, Store Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, Digital and IT
- Establish policy, governance and manage Managed Service Provider for all contingent workforce
- Develop and manage senior stakeholder relationships and lead the business in their approach to maintaining and leveraging
