Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Conrad Company, a fast growing, award-winning family-owned business located in York, PA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Hanover Conveying Systems (HCS) facility. Hanover Conveying Systems helps people in Manufacturing and Construction with Conveyors and Fabrication. Proudly located in the “Snack Food Capital of the World,” Hanover Conveying Systems has been a complete design and manufacturing company dedicated to crafting quality conveyor systems for over 30 years. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the development and administration of mechanical engineering design reporting directly to the site President.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and approve conceptual design, detail assembly, and general arrangement 2D drawings and 3D models for fabrication

· Verify design and detail drawings to industry and customer standards

· Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving manufacturing issues

· Drive new ideas and lead design reviews

· Research and propose use of new technologies to be used in the development of new and improved products based on client feedback and vendor visits

· Collaborate with and support customers to ensure complete satisfaction from the sale to the delivery of the product

· Troubleshoot equipment via phone, internet or site visit to customer’s facility

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field

· Minimum 7 years machine design experience

· Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD

· Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

· Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication principles

· Project management experience including budgeting and resource allocation

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Ability to work under tight deadlines at times

· Willing to travel (mostly local) to customer’s facilities, if required

· Excellent communication skills with employees and customers

· Results-oriented attitude

· Basic knowledge of food processing equipment a plus

· Autodesk Vault experience a plus

· Knowledge of industrial electrical systems is a plus
